Laboratory Services

Once geochemical samples are collected, they are sent to specialized laboratories for analysis. These labs use advanced techniques to measure the concentrations of elements and minerals within the samples, providing critical data for interpreting the mineralization and potential of an area. Nigeria lacks the presence of internationally accredited laboratories which slows down the exploration journey due to the turn around time with laboratories that can take up to 8 weeks.

Sample Preparation

At Titan Minerals, we have constructed our internal laboratory services that can narrow down the cost and timeline required to get an understanding of the type and size of mineralized zones being explored. A preparation facility is available in Abuja with crushing, sieving, drying, and pulverizing capabilities. and LIBS analysers to analyse lithium content are currently available.

XRF Analysis

X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) is a rapid, non-destructive method used for identifying and quantifying elemental concentrations in rocks and soils, particularly useful in field settings.

Geochemical Analysis

This measures the chemical composition in a sample from various material. TML partners with known internationally accredited laboratories to provide accurate, reliable data to help in understanding the composition and properties of soil, Rock, water or air samples enabling informed decision-making and sustainable practices.

Libs Analysis

LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) is an advanced analytical technology used to analyze materials, including lithium-based compounds. LIBS works by using a high-powered laser to induce a plasma from the surface of a material, and then analyzing the emitted light to determine the material's composition. This method is particularly useful in various applications such as battery research, mining, and environmental analysis, where rapid, in-situ analysis is required.

Benefits of Laboratory Analysis:

Integrated Approach for Unlocking Nigeria’s Mineral Potential:

The combination of geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and Trenching forms a powerful and comprehensive exploration toolkit. This integrated approach enables Titan Minerals to systematically assess Nigeria’s mineral potential, providing valuable insights into the location, extent, and grade of mineral deposits.

How Our Approach Unlocks Nigeria's Mineral Potential:

  1. Target Identification: Geological mapping and geochemical sampling work together to identify and prioritize targets with the highest mineral potential.

  2. Estimation: Laboratory analysis of geochemical data helps us quantify mineral concentrations, forming the basis for resource estimation and planning further exploration activities.

  3. Risk Reduction: By gathering data from these techniques, we minimize exploration risks, making our activities more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable.

  4. Strategic Decision-Making: Detailed, high-quality data from these methods allows us to make informed decisions about where to drill, when to move forward with resource development, and how to manage exploration budgets

At Titan Minerals, we understand that unlocking the mineral wealth of Nigeria requires a robust, data-driven approach. Our use of geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and trenching forms the backbone of our exploration efforts, ensuring that every step we take is grounded in scientific accuracy and efficiency.

By combining these techniques with cutting-edge technologies like airborne geophysics and remote sensing, we are confident in our ability to uncover high-value mineral deposits that will contribute to the long-term growth of Nigeria’s mining industry, creating jobs, driving economic development, and providing sustainable benefits to local communities.
